RGD ISO annotations to rat from other mammalian species.

RGD (https://rgd.mcw.edu/) imports high quality ortholog calls from the Human Gene Nomenclature Committee’s HCOP tool and the Alliance of Genome Resources for multiple mammalian species and manually assigns orthologs between rat genes and those in other species where necessary based on sequence similarity and synteny. Experimentally-based manual GO annotations (IDA, IMP IPI, IGI, and EXP) from other RGD species are used to provide annotations to the respective rat orthologs. The resulting annotations are given the ISO evidence code and an entry is made in the “With (or) From” field to indicate the orthologous entity.
